My favorite hobby is home automation and what I wanted to do is a multipurpose lighting system. The idea was to build a system that can be used every day as regular lighting and can also be used to create a specific atmosphere or even to be music driven.
I have use a combinations of software, hardware (some hardware that I have designed myself) and web service to provide a unique lighting system that can be used for either entertainment or just for regular lighting.
From a software perspective I’m currently adding the support for Cortana in the lighting system so that I could say “Light On” “Ligh On Red” … and the light will match what was asked! Since everything is already on a web service it shouldn’t take long to complete.
This blog is a draft, I still need to add much more information such as picture, better video, fix spelling error (I’m French so English is not natural for me), source code, software diagram etc..
